Hi Sheryl, this writing and depth of psychological awareness is truly amazing. It seems your pain and struggles have provided you with an objectives that truly helps you cope. I know you’re not alone and appreciate your contribution to humanity.
Those struggling with mental illness or anxiety should also be able to learn from your mature and revealing perspective. I have never had psycho therapy but agree that we all have two selves. Recognizing them can surely be a key to survival and achieving balance.
Yes, I think her writing is very helpful. There is so much stigma and judgement surrounding mental health issues. Its one thing that kept me from getting helpf for many years.
Thank you so much, Janet, for reading and also for all your kind support over the years. I appreciate it! :) It was just interesting to me when I read that article, as I never knew that that was what it was called!
Yes! I am particpating in parts work currently. It has been something I've been interested in learning more about. I have done many types of therapy at different times while peeling the layers of mental health issues like an onion. Keep up the great writing and sharing in the community.
Thank you so much for sharing and reading, Laurie, I appreciate it! :) It's interesting to know that you're doing this too currently - would love to read more about your experiences, too! :)
Great to find you on here - thanks for subscribing to Warrior Within 🤩
I went on a similar journey with my inner child…she had not a scrap of self worth, not even a tiny bit! I had no idea in my 20’s and 30s that my childhood was affecting me to the extent I suffered from burn out, break down and disability by chronic illness.
I’m glad to hear you did have a happy joyful childhood. It seems rare. Has the internal parts therapy you’ve had led on to family constellation therapy? It takes you into the trauma we carry from our ancestors it seems the trauma of our parents, grandparents and beyond has a way of becoming entangled within ourselves.
In the end, I fully integrated my inner child and went on to untangle myself from ancestral trauma mainly through bodywork (a deep healing massage therapy), combined with yoga/meditation, breathwork etc but I’m learning there are different ways to achieve the healing of our unresolved trauma, whether our own or come from somewhere in the family.
Thanks for sharing and subscribing too, Amber :) No I haven't heard of family constellation therapy but it sounds fascinating. I'll be sure to check it out - thank you!

Thank you, Laurie, and I agree. I didn't seek help until I was at a breaking point 10 years after and desperate :(

I love your writing! I followed you years ago when I used to have the blog called The Frozen Mind. I am happy to find you here!
I remember you! It's so nice to reconnect...I had thought you had stopped blogging :)
I just started blogging again 12 days ago.
That is extremely good to know :)
